I remember that feeling of one month left with longing. Tell you what though: the feeling of sabbatical has never left me and I take much of what I used to regard as serious as much less serious. I feel much less pompous too....

I recognise that; my dearly beloved says that I haven't been this relaxed for a great many years. I have learnt a tremendous amount over the last couple of months and it has been an utter God-send. I'm even beginning to look forward to going back to work...
