We've never used MS Office. Used Open Office since version 1. Even the less computer literate have no problems with it at CYO.

The sooner the better!

With the profusion of good open-source material out there there's no reason to be harnessed to M$oft any more.

I'm a fan of Xubuntu myself but would use Ubuntu if I had a better hardware profile... :-D
