I went to Kenya when I was 17 on a mission trip with my church. Good luck on his presentation!! FYI, "Thank you very much" is Asante Sana. The monkey in The Lion King keeps singing it when Simba is born.
How cool is that! I'd like to go to see safari animals. I made him some chapatis to take (they were tasting foods, too...) Almost made ugali (it that right?) but figured maybe not cold corn mush...

Um, I'm embarrassed to admit I learned "Jambo" from Dora the Explorer goes around the world.
Jambo!
Well, I learned the sign language alphabet from "The Miracle Worker" (Anne Bancroft and Patty Duke...) and the Webster's Dictionary. Came in handy in high school debate. We learn where we learn... Jambo!

Ummm....these are so incredibly CUTE... I'm getting a bit worried about you, oh Domestic Goddess.
This is the time to take advantage of after-Easter candy sales, and put Peeps in the microwave. (Hint: One at a time, 30 seconds to a minute, and use a paper plate. You won't be able to chisel the Peep off, so just throw the whole thing away.) Yes, I know, we in the country are easily amused. Our grandparents played cards and music; we put strange things in the microwave and watch them explode, melt, burst into tiny flames, crackle, etc.

Worry not, dear friend. They are cute and GONE, sent to school and also to the Guidrys (Susan's IL's who hosted the Easter Egg Hunt Extravaganza) As far as nuking Peeps, we did mini nuclear blasts with just regular ol' marshmallows too. The Peeps will be amusing (I have a couple left that didn't get to ride on a cupcake...)

Hee! I executed a few peeps in the microwave this year.
Beautiful job decorating the cupcakes. I need some little ones in my life so I can start doing all of that fun stuff again!
Yup, we are easily amused! Thank you, they were fun. Any time you'd like to borrow a slightly used but always amusing eight-year-old, just holla. I'm sure he'd protest much over a trip to Paradise!
