Hmm, your story makes me feel less panicky about going to the dentist. I really should...but I'm very, very, very afraid.
I wonder if the dentists here have the same drugs as yours...
Claire -- they probably do, and I am so relieved to say I waited too dang long for absolutely nothing. I'll be going back regularly. Or at least more regularly than in the past.BTW, the second phase is over, and despite a few falling asleep in the middle of the conversation with Chuck incidences, I'm really perfectly fine. And the name of the drug (there was less this time, I have a bit of a foggy but not unpleasant memory of the procedure) is Versed. Versed for emperor!

I'm so happy to know that such a drug exists! I have my semi-annual cleaning tomorrow. Think I can be drugged for that? Come to think of it, I would like for it to have been available at the gynocologist's office this morning…
Best of luck with phase two tomorrow!
SUZI: Phase two was again not bad. With no pain pills as mandatory , either! Hope the cleaning was uneventful. Lately the whole you're an old person so we scrape thing has unnerved me. And as far as for the other end, wish there was some way we could just dump the works in a Fed Ex box and ship it to them, have them do that lovely speculum thing without the rest of the body in attendance and just next day it back.

Oh, my GOD! Sedated Airlines! What a great idea.
I'm glad you had a good drug experience with your extraction. Let me know how you like your implant. I had my back molar extracted and still have a gaping hole (which I rather like).
JD: your comment GOT here! YAY. Phase two was just fine, so I now have metal post. In six weeks or so, they'll put a shiny new toothie in the space. I didn't ever bond with the crater.

I love my dentist - he spoils me, his "girls" spoil me (Would you like a heating pad or a blanket, Betch? Change the music, Shetbag?!) - I almost wish for tooth concerns just to go relax in his chair.
I do however, having "get over ridiculous fear of airplanes/flying/crashing" on my list... So I still need drugs.
Well, JD, I can't say I've really tried to find reasons to go to the dentist, but now that I seem to be caught up with issues, I may be better at remembering that six months rule.
If ever I get my Sedated Airlines up and running, you have already earned a million frequent fear of flying miles, so you're on the VIP list. The dentist thought it would be a good idea yesterday, too. Maybe it could cut down on the airport rage incidents happening with alarming frequency these days. Sit DOWN and take your drugs, betch?!

I think I may follow your lead Elle, thanks for the reassurance :D
You're welcome, Claire, and remember, Fly Sedated!

Even though I'm NOT "JD", Ms. Medicated, do I still get the free frequent flyer miles? Is there a "Fly Now - Earn Later" option? I'm all for free AND sedated, and I'd probably be even funnier stoned and 10,000 feet up, so you can trust I would pay my bill. Assuming of course, that the plane doesn't really crash.
LES: I'm so sorry, you were right by JD, and the haloscan thing is really not very clear on who said what and okay, maybe I was still a wee bit medicated. And you and JD look a little bit alike in the fog, from way far away.
And you won't crash, not even without the plane. That truly is the beauty of that stuff.
