Gravatar Hmmm. Your tuna salad recipe sounds intriguing. I'd have to leave out the raw onion, though.

HA! You ain't kiddin' about the geoduck. Yuck.

can you tolerate green onions? It really does need some onion.

Gravatar BREAD MACHINE?! BLASPHEMY! That's cheating, Shetbag...

I once killed my oven baking bread - forgot I'd doubled the recipe and the loaves rose so high, they zapped the top element. Don't do that. It also zapped the plug, so that the replacement stove went kaput the second I turned the oven on...

I didn't/couldn't make bread for years after that one...

I have since got the guts up to try again, though, and now all my boys at the J.O.B. are demanding more cinnamon buns... I should have left well enough alone.

Yeah well, my bread machine (along with my mother's, sitforlornly collecting dust in my breakfast room, need the cookbook shelf. Neither has been fired up lately either. I have made a few pizza crusts, those went over well, especially with the help of the Medium Boy, who actually deigned to TASTE the pizza he helped make.

Gravatar I second your vote for geoduck. That thing is disgusting. AND it's a clam, which makes it worse. I'd love to meet the first person who ever decided that thing was edible.

That and the first man hungry enough to eat an artichoke. Just a giant thistle, pointy and woody and pretty damn unfriendly looking. Maybe they had them together.

Gravatar Never heard of Geoduck. Sounds like it might be a good thing! I'm off to the dictionary to see what it is.
