I think the same could be said for most groups. I think most groups rise and fall with leadership. Most successful groups of any sort are started by good leaders with good vision. Eventually those leaders either move on to another phase of life or burn out on leading that group. If they have managed to groom good successors or if good successors follow them, then the group continues successfully; otherwise it dies a slow death. It is always hard to see this happen to a group that is meaningful to you, but sometimes I think it is better for an old group to die so a new one can rise.
