I watched the bishop on EWTN last night and was impressed. He is knowledgeable and even funny. Wit always helps. Nancy Pelosi is from my home state of California. Did I mention how embarassed I am to have her?

Our bishops in California pretty must just sit in their office. I don't know of any who has even gotten fired up about Abortion and chastized a pro-abortion politician, including my own in the Fresno Diocese.

Last month my husband and I were traveling to Denver. I looked up the Mass times for the Cathedral. As I was perusing the site, I also noticed the Archbishop's photo and reading underneath it that the Archbishop personally answers emails! I thought, why not. So I mentioned to him about our first trip to Denver and that we were planning to attend the 8:30 Mass. He answered back and told me that he visits other parishes to say Mass in the a.m. but would be back at the Cathedral at 6:30. He didn't have to write me back, but he went the extra step. (we have since emailed regarding my trip there, again, didn't have to). Also, when I read their bulletin that week it mentioned that the Archbishop would be leading a prayer vigil at the local Planned Parenthood. Amazing. I know I have heard of Archbishop Chaput before all of this, but to see, read and hear him be outspoken and telling the TRUTH to those who so desperately need to hear it is inspiring. Let's pray more bishops and priests will be inspired by this great man.
