Dude, whats on yer mind?

Gravatar You drive a Saturn too? I've been wincing everytime I fill up and can't imagine what it would feel like to fill up a SUV. I'd probably faint.

I've got my fall garden planted too. I need to go take pictures!!

:0)

Drew: Can't wait to see pics!

Gravatar Cute guy, beautiful needlework, beautiful vegetables and beautiful flowers. Will you marry me? Just kidding....well, sort of. I hope you are having a good week. The weekend's almost here. Yeah!!

Drew: Thanks for the kudos! (and the offer of marriage.) Have a great weekend!

Gravatar The book is a great idea, I need to steal it since I too am about to drown in my own ____! Good luck with all the projects.

Drew: Thanks! I hope you don't drown either!!!

Gravatar My husband's truck is still over $100 each tank-full. Count your blessings! And also the blessings that you can plant in the fall; even bulbs!

Big Congrats on getting organized, which is way more than I can say for myself these days.

Drew: Thanks Mags! I'm sooo happy I don't have a truck right now!!

Gravatar Ha - I tagged you on my blog. I figured you don't have anough to do. All that time on your hands sitting around eating pastry and all.

Um- when Lauries parents come to stay with you to escape Wilma - I may come too. Especially if your niece is still there cooking pastry.

Drew: Hiya Crystal!! Sure you can come over too! We'll drink wine, eat pastries and talk about whoever isn't here yet!

Gravatar The project books sounds like a really great idea! I should search for a fancy notebook.....

Drew: Fancy notebooks rock y'all...

Gravatar Drew - that means we will talk about CAP. Her Dad has some great stories about her!

Drew: I can only imagine!! I bet if you AND her parents were at my house she'd show up with a cake and some wine!

Gravatar You should put in some lettuce right about now.. if you keep it covered when it freezes you can have fresh lettuces all winter long in Houston! There is nothing better than fresh lettuce from the garden. My advice:don't be too worried about having too much take a packet of mixed lettuce seed don't forget your spinach greens.. and just sprinkle and rake.... don't worry too much about spacing... I LOVE fresh radishes!

Drew: Hiya Heidi...you weren't first today....

Anywho , I have mixed greens, romaine lettuce and also spinach sprouting as we speak. I loves me some salads!!

Gravatar What pattern did you use for the baby girl afghan? Pretty!

Drew: Thanks Sharon!! It's from a booklet called Heirloom Afghans for Baby by Terry Kimbrough and the pattern is called "Exquisite". Wait until you see it finished!! The border is a scalloped pineapple motif. Instant heirloom!

Gravatar Hey Dude - Is there a 12-step program for the easily distracted? If there is then I need to put that on my to-do list. Where the heck is that to-do list anyway?!

Pretty shawl, nice flower motif. Someone's gonna be very happy not to mention warm.

Drew: Thanks for the kudos! I need many many 12-step programs!

Gravatar I use a notebook to keep all of my WIPs, orders, current projects, future project, ideas, etc. as well. I also tab it into sections so I can find a category. It works for me and man, when I misplace my book I freak! You go dude with your organizational frenzy!

Drew: I'll let you know how it goes!!

Gravatar That baby afghan is absolutely gorgeous!!! I can't wait to see the finished product --and may have to go and buy the book!!!!

Drew: Thanks Cheryl!!

Gravatar I prefer handwriting over the computer. It is more accessible and easier to use.

Drew: I totally agree!!

Gravatar Organize? Huh? What's that? I write everything down on tiny pieces of paper. Then, I promptly lose each tiny piece of paper. So, do you have one whole page for each project? Inquiring minds need to know. L*O*V*E the lacy baby blanket!

Drew: Hiya Ellen! For now I have a page for each category, then a page for each project if it is complex.

Gravatar I tried to get in to get your free patterns and there were no links....
is it me???

Drew: Hi Cheryl. Must be you, I just got in without any trouble. Keep on tryin'!

Gravatar Wow, I really like the shawl. The red and white combo is really something. I *have* to remember to take photos of my great grandmother's crochet to show you. Hmmm, something to go on the list.

Have a gerat hurricane party. We don't often get that kind of fun up here.

Drew: Thanks Dave!!

Gravatar That comfort shawl is the prettiest thing I've seen in a while. I love those colors... maybe it's partly the reason you made it. I'm not sure. I just know I think it's gorgeous.

I love gerbera daisies... one of my favs. I love getting my hands dirty! I have to be too professional all the time. I love letting my hair down and getting my hands dirty!

Drew: I'm glad you like the shawl, Angel!!! I hope the recipient does too!

Gardening is great on so many levels, but getting down and dirty is the best part, isn't it?

Gravatar Out of curiosity, how many hours do you knit/crochet a day?

How many inches of the sweater can you get done in a day?

Drew: Hiya Kenny! I start my day around 7am and take breaks during the day to run an errand or eat, etc. I usually stop working at around 10:30 pm. I'd say I work about ten hours a day, seven days a week.

I'm not a super expert knitter so I'm not as fast as I'd like to be. I'm sure I can only get a few inches done a day on the sweater.

Gravatar Beautiful shawl...some lucky person! I'm so glad you are organized, I'll remember that when I have a baby 3months early and need a blanket STAT!LOL

Drew: LOL Sue! The easy thing to do is to make a granny square with some Light&Loft super chunky baby yarn and a size Q hook. I can get one of those done in about an hour! LOL

These heirloom ghans take me much longer...

Gravatar Oh, I had no idea this was your full time job. No wonder you can knit so fast!!! I only get at most about 2 hours a day to knit. I wish I didn't work.

Gravatar when it comes to organization...nothing works like post it notes!!! lol (my dr friend does entire filing system off post its)
