OK, you're just trying to make me nervous, eh? THe night before? What if they want us to come in the day we arrive? Ya never know, cuz they keep flinging last minute crap at us (or is it just me??) I wouldn't put it past them to call our hotel and say, "Actually, can you come in NOW and do some run throughs?" Don't get me wrong, I still have to do step outs for one project here and I don't even have the yarn. I've had the lazy bug, but just for the show, for the last two days.
Yes, I've always thought that if I were a superhero I would be Last-Minute Woman (though Last-Minute Man flows a lot better) -- able to accomplish amazing feats in the last few seconds before I'm put to the fire!
So I can totally see you doing this (yes, there's spandex involved in the mental image, you'll just have to go with it): "Step-out's in the hotel room the night before the show? No problem! In fact, I'll whip them out in the car on the way over! I'm Last-Minute Man!"
It's even worked out for me a few times, which only feeds the delusions...
Laurie, I may have to go through some old photos, but I'll see if I can find some Drew-mullet photos. Hm.
My mom is a water color artist and always does her best work last minute and under the gun. You artist types THRIVE on pressure.
I printed a bunch of you out and now I can carry you with me to Palestine Texas tomorrow. I even used the good stuff and paper cutter and new ink..wow you rate! Thanks for doing that Drew! Now I can share you!

Don't be surprised if you need to make more step-outs when you get there. When they see what you have they may want some fillers.
Actually the whole process was incredibly interesting and I feel much more prepared now that I've done one of these shows while making step-outs for my September taping.
