I'm glad I'm not the only one who would've grabbed my bear first.
And I think we're on the same pill. Wow, what a coincedence!

I would be happy to send you the Flonase that was just prescribed for me last week. I mean, I would be if it wasn't a crime to dispense without a license and all. (email me).
I, too, am a lover of the dental floss.
I can completely relate to haphazard packing in the face of a crisis. I packed 5 pairs of shoes for my trip to Indiana when my dad was dying. How long did I think I was going to be there???
Also - the Quandary's are all praying for you and A. As well as everyone else affected by Katrina.

I'm very, very glad you are all safe and evacuated. Lots of hugs for you and the kittys, we're all thinking about you.
(Oh, and I have three things of floss. At work. Along with two toothbrushes. I suppose that means we are tooth-mates.)

I'm glad you're okay and still have a sense of humor. Let your blogger friends know if we can do anything to help...after all, we might as well be put to some good use.

So glad to hear you're coping in TX. If there's anything (and I do mean anything) we can do, let us know.

I echo Milbarge [sic] as per usual. Let me know if you need anything.
I would bring my teddy bear as well. He's totally ugly, smelly, and falling apart, but I've had him since I was in my mom's belly and I heart him. I think Teddy is the love of my life

It is amazing what we grab in times of stress and emergency. I've informed everyone that after the pets, the first thing to grab is my first Greek textbook. How useless is that?
I am so sorry for all you've had to go through, and are going through (the Great Uncertainty! Argh!). And if your state doesn't give you a Hurricane Extension to get your bar app in then, then, I don't know, but they're Horrible.
And congratulations on having the wisdom (and resources) to get the heck out of where you were. Best of luck.

As far as your "anti-natals" planned parenthood is giving out a pack to anyone displaced from the hurricane without more pills.

I'm so glad I'm not the only Greek scholar that reads this blog....Citations, if you should ever lose your textbook, I have a set of JACT coursebooks, several lexicons, and some Loebs you can borrow till you're back on your feet.
