actually one of my former bosses managed to scare me into stopping writing on my hand by saying i could poison myself through the toxins in pen ink.

now that i think about it - are there any toxins in pen ink?

If you have to total them up again, see if you can find one of the adding machines with the tape in the back of the supply closet or something. Then you can just verify that it's correct by holding it up next to the deposit slip. Those things are weird and lame and outdated, but very useful for just that task. (I used to work as a secretary and the back of the check stamping was always my favorite thing to do too! And bonus -- we had TWO stamps that had to go on each check.)

I think I was told that once, too, but I think the occasional hand-writing is ok. I mean, look at all the people who do it, and how many have you heard on the news have died from it?

D-Day: That is way, WAY awesome that you got to use two stamps. I wonder if that place is still hiring! Could I use you as a reference?

well, i didn't want to be the first one who died from writing stuff on my hand with a pen, so i stopped.

now i write stuff on little.scrappy.pieces of paper...it's not as effective, i must say...
