They (that mysterious THEY) say drinking warm liquids in heat is good because it makes you sweat more, thus cooling your body.

I don't think it really matters because I'm sweating regardless of the temperature of the liquids I'm drinking.

By mid-afternoon the indoor thermometer (in one of the coolest spots in the office...mine is close to the hotter end) read 84 degrees. Ugh. Hopefully it'll be fixed by tomorrow.

So sorry. Remember the good old days when office windows opened?

In my part of the country, the building A/C doesn't run on weekends unless the law firm tenant pays extra. So we'd sit there and swelter. One time I showed up for work on the weekend in my short-shorts and tank top. A visiting attorney later told me he just assumed I was "showing off" and didn't realize people really did need to dress down that much to have a hope of being comfortable.
