The dealership I bought my car from had one woman. She appeared to be really popular with middle aged women (the type who always suffer from salesmen talking to their husbands). This is why I don't even take my dad to help me because the first car I bought when I took him to co-sign all of a sudden the guy was talking to him rather than me. I also hide that I'm a junior lawyer and then shock them with my negotiation skillz. Ha.
Also, as an update on the new deodorant. I really like it. However I have been using it differently than they suggest. I always shower at night and then get up in the morning and wash my face, brush my teeth, flat iron my hair, and apply my makeup. What I have been doing is putting it on when I get up (rather than at night like they suggest) because the concern with these strong deodorants is they will discolor clothes if they are not dry as I mentioned earlier. Anyway, it lasts all day-even if I work out in the 80 degree weather we've been having.
yup, i think woman are much more apt to want to buy their cars from a woman, as elle said, to avoid the talking-down thing you always get from male salesmen -- which is tres annoying, because half the time they can't even construct a grammatical sentence ("was you thinking I would *give* this car away?") and they call you "ma'am," which is grounds for puking on their shoes in my book. the only thing is -- my experience has been that sometimes the women will be less willing to negotiate because they're trying to prove to their male-dominated office that they're not weak, or whatever. so it can kind of work against you. personally, i usually approach older male salesmen on the theory that they're generally less obnoxious and i can always whip out the six-dollar vocab words and litigatrix skills if i'm wrong.
