Dear Emma,
If you have time, just try to find what is so-called "margarine" in many developing countries, the brand is Blue Band by Unilever(try to find it at big Asian/Oriental Stores etc). You can store this "margarine" at room temperature without being melted (even stay on your kitchen counter for more than a year!). So many years we believed that it is margarine. Since I moved to the US long ago, I'm becoming curious, it's very close to shortening (if I need flaky texture for baking, I use this). You know what is mean. Full of fat! So, I guess not all margarine are good .
Until now, it's still a mystery for me. I've tried to send an e-mail to their customer service, demand an explanation. But nothing come up.
