Can't yell at you, dear. I was glued to my MLB.com GameDay scoreboard page during the late afternoon at work also, alternating between travel vouchers, a lab forecast and sitting on my hands with my eyes closed ready to scream, not wanting to peek at the MLB.com page peeking out the side of the nested pile of screens on my computer to see if it read "outs recorded" or "runs recorded." When Mo was No Mo, and the Rodriguez substitution was announced, I went quietly, internally, insane.
The Sibling was pleased too. The local NJ coverage of the game, though, was all about Rivera, downplaying any heroics by the Sox, natch.
You people are steadfast with your "listening with one ear" and your "quietly, internally insane." I long since gave up any pretense of responsibility and instead spent the afternoon at my desk with my headphones on, scanning the SGMB and not even pretending to do work. And also yelling rather loudly which I'm rather certain our visiting Production Supervisor from New York was less than thrilled about. Pfffft!
