Well, I think this is beautiful! But I completely understand what you mean. I do it too, actually. I shop on Etsy and other stores like that... and sometimes I just assume these little cute things are made and sold by sweet girls... but quite a few are actually men.

Most people give everyone who they can't automatically assign a gender to, a male-specific pronoun. And it is especially true if you are aggressive in your opinions or if your art is seen as "masculine". We, as a society, are still too black & white in our views of gender. And men are still seen as the "neutral", thanks to a patriarchal mindset.
