Um, yeah... the sporadic posts are the reason for my infrequent comments. Or something.

I thought President Bush pronounced, "Mission Accomplished!" I suppose we will have "won" the war in Iraq when we have a secure source of cheap oil. And when all of the warring factions and religions can live peacefully together inside artificial boundaries drawn by Westerners. The war on terror will be won when everyone loves America.

My great fear during the conversation leading up to the war on terror was that even W said it wss open-ended. This means it'll NEVER be over, or not until every enemy, foreign and domestic, is defeated, which will NEVER happen.
