Although it does mean mealtime comes an hour earlier.
"Mealtime," at our house, is whenever Mister Gato's pile of crunchy nuggets (he's mostly a dry-food cat, though, like the dogs, he enjoys wet food as an occasional treat) is insufficiently mounded for his tastes.
He lets us know about it. Oh, boy, does he.
