OK, you've sold me on a cat. My Bichons are useless as any kind of great hunter, although one thinks she can run down a deer and kill it like Buck in Call of the Wild (its really pathetic; I think the deer are just mocking her). Anybody want to trade two adorable Bichons (I have three) for a rodent terminator?

Nice to hear that Gato actually acts like a cat and catches mice.
That is not the case with my mentally challenged but very loveable cat, Buttercup. She thinks the mice are here for a playdate and lovelingly transports them to our bed to show off to me in the middle of the night. And people wonder why I need an antidepressant.
Exterminator is coming tomorrow. Hope the cat considers him a more acceptable playmate than the damn mice.

How do you keep a cat like that from getting fat? Or did the mouse supply eventually dry up?

The mice are mostly gone, and Mr. G. does have a *little* bit of a belly on him.
But he gets lots of exercise chasing the Chows around.
