Pre-breakfast appetizers. Suitably inscrutable for two canines of Far Eastern ancestry.

I'm surprised Mr. Gato does not demand a share. When I was in grad school, the dorm cat would regularly pay me a visit to split my breakfast with me. She would get the yolk, I would get the white. Also a bit of the buttered toast please. Buttered side up!

MAE WEST kept a few pet monkeys who would only eat eggs or grapes if a nice person had PEELED off the shell or the skin first. At home MAE WEST would always ask her maid to peel him [the monkey] a grape. . . . At the Annual Mae West Gala in NYC, we'll be peeling off things for 15 days.

GK, Mister Gato isn't wild about hard-boiled eggs, though he does like the runny yolk from a soft-boiled egg.
Mae, as a fellow resident of the West Village, I have long admired your several of your blogs.
