Heh. Sissy, that is what a somewhat wrinkled bit of good notepaper looks like when it's scanned on a cheap home scanner about thirty years after receipt (give or take.)
It *does* look like a slab of ham.

Remind me to tell you sometime about the letter I wrote to Clyde Edgerton after The Floatplane Notebooks came out in 1988. It led to lunches in Durham while I was studying at Chapel Hill and later an interview, published in two parts, in The Xavier Review, and War, Literature, & The Arts.
