Ask any writer who works with complex documents about their experiences using Word, and you'll hear war stories, I guarantee it.

Oh, yes. Hell, Yes. My favorite: working with "Word for Windows" v 1.0 sometime in the late 80s (mandated use by clue-free senior management in the interests of "standardization."). Three a.m. Massive document due first thing that morning and we'd (four of us) been working ALL night. Crash. Unrecoverable crash. Much screaming, broken furniture, dented file cabinets, and one not-quite-broken big toe. Revert to last recoverable "save," at least a day old. Missed deadline.
