Oh my. The things we did with old jeans. I made purses, maxi skirts (yes, maxi is what we called them), and well, that's pretty much it! I am now feeling like I need to make another skirt. Gosh knows, I have enough pair of levi's in my closet that no longer fit (and that could use a bit of fabric in that in-between-the-legs part...)

That's cute Erica. I want one! Still haven't bought my sewing machine yet, but i have bought patterns and some fabric, lol. What about a matching bag? You can definitly make a cute bag out of a pair of jeans. Either sewing or knittin!

Very cool! Good plan, too. If the other two want one it will buy you a little more quiet time!

You are off the seam... that is a fantastic project... I definitely need to do that... while at the mall... my daughter is constantly asking me to buy her vintage denim skirts and must admit... I have said it a million times..."for that price I need to make it"...great job.

So cute! And might I say, check out those legs! I might have to give this a try, I noticed that you got a new sewing machine for Mother's Day, Me too! I got the exact same one and I love it. My previous machine was my Husband's Grandmothers old machine - so I was in need of an update. The needle threader is my very favorite part, but I'm no pro so there are probably lots of things that it can do that I don't even know yet!
