This is a great dress and I love the color. I have always been a fan of the shirtdress--chic and elegant, even in a casual setting. The straight skirt looks good on you. You can easily modify the shaping of the skirt at the side seams. Measure out 2/3/4 inches from the side seams from the back & front skirt hems and using your yardstick redraw the cutting line up to the hip. Measuring out 2" from each seam will give you a width increase of 8", 3" out would give you a total increase of 12", etc.

Your set in sleeves are most exquisite! I don't like sleeves... they gave me the hardest time in school. Zippers too.
I am inspired nonetheless though!

I have to say a prayer before I do those invisible zippers! They still kick my behind.

Fabulous, I love shirt dresses. Also, ever since you described how to do a pleated pocket, I've been seeing them everywhere.

This is my first time visiting your blog. I have to tell you what a fantastic seamstress you are!!! Oh my goodness! I'm especially impressed with the fit of your garments and how the styles you choose are so perfect for your figure! I sewed my own clothes for years and finally decided to stop because the fitting is such a challenge. You're very skilled with the needle and thread! Kudos!
