You are going to love it! Burda WOF is totally worth the extra work of tracing etc. This is the REAL Burda!

You are headed down a slippery slope! Since I started using BWOF, I haven't looked back! I think I've used one big 4 pattern since February.
You will love #117 8/07! I made one in white - I wore it yesterday to work. I have #119 9/07 traced, but haven't made it yet. I'm still looking for the right fabric.

Yay for you girl! Watch that blouse tho, I'm traced it out and have altered the tracing because it's more dropped shouldered than it shows on the model or in the line drawing. Can't wait to see what you whip up first!

You are going to love BWOF! You are so stylish, I can't believe you haven't sewn them yet. Beware the blouse as it definitely has drop shoulders. I cut it out and used the sleeve and shoulder from another blouse.
Have fun.

Erica, I'm with you, I could never quite get or see the attraction in the extra steps required to trace the pattern. In saying that I have recently picked up a back issue that has plus sized patterns and it does have a very sweet jacket...I'm interested to follow your experiences

I've been resisting the Burda bug myself but I think I too will soon be giving in. I love that dress as well as the tie front blouse. I'm sure which ever you choose it will be fantabulistic as usual!

I don't know what took you so long! With your sense of style and BWOF designs -- I can't wait to see what your results. My advice -- read the instructions carefully - and often! Be patient. We've all been frustrated by BWOF, but we always come back for more!

Erica would you mind to post a photo of the traciing process? I'd like to get an idea of what that is like. I always cut my patterns and toss them when I am done but would like to learn a less wasteful way to use patterns. And since tracing is the way to go with BWOF maybe you can convert me.

I find this very funny. I trace almost all my patterns. In Denmark most patterns cost from 40 DKK to 125 DKK, 5-6 DKK=1 $, so It's rather expensive to buy a new pattern, Burda is 45 DKK and therefore very cheap :D
I love that magasine and have lots of them
I also save all my patterns because of the price. You can always reuse them
Erica, I love your work, especially the highwaisted skirt.

My friend bought me the Burda pattern book from Portugal. It's so fustrating to look at these great patterns and not be able to make them because I can't sew *sob*. Oh well, I hope they'll be in style by the time I learn.
