I could see this with adorable big vintage Bakelite Buttons, a red-white gingham, and eyelet trim. Oops, your SWAP is blank and white, right?

Nice find, this really is the *exact* same jacket, isn't it?

Gravatar Oooh, I like this one much better. I love the sleeves--they're hella fierce. A short-sleeved jacket like that would make that pretty sundress perfect for church. (Yeah, I know I'm country, but spaghetti straps in church is a no-no for me.)

Gravatar You are good! I created a page on my PDA called "Erica B" so I can note all your pattern finds! Have a great day!

Gravatar That's a wonderful spring/summer jacket!

Gravatar I just started reading sewing blogs about a month ago (I had not sewn in decades). Now your are my sewing and fashion guru.

This new jacket pattern is just too gorgeous, I will have to buy the pattern!

Gravatar i am IN LOVE with your blog! thanks for being so specific and enthusiastic!xoxo

Gravatar Great call changing patterns. The pattern is perfect for the Nanette Lepore jacket. You are very good at this.

Gravatar GAK. The CUTENESS!!! Love the new jacket! LOVE! Can't wait to see it made up.

Gravatar Yes, yes yes! I love this jacket!!

Gravatar Fantastic find - it looks like you don't even need to make any pattern changes!

Gravatar I love that jacket! I love Nanette Lepore's stuff! Too bad I can't afford any of it!!

PS Happy Mother's Day!!

Gravatar Thanks for posting the Nanette jacket. I have the McCall's one and have several ideas in mind for the jacket. Like seeing the Nanette L jacket for additional inspiration.

Gravatar Erica, Love your choices! You are my sewing guru. You have motivated me to pull out the machine and give it another whirl. Keep showing us your amazing knockoffs!!!!

Gravatar Great jacket pattern, I'll be running out today to pick that one up!

Thanks!

Gravatar I'm loving that style too! Great find!

Gravatar Yes that jacket is nicer.I can't wait to see the finished project.

Gravatar Doing the happy dance cuz I have that pattern too! Isn't that Nanette Laprore jacket sweet? I know you will make a great copy of it! Good choice.

Gravatar Hi Erica, love your style!

I picked it up today too. Do you think this pattern has enough ease for a C or a D cup...I'll probably have to do an FBA and am not sure how to tackle it on this pattern.
Anybody have an idea?

Best,
Diane

Gravatar Diane, here is a fantastic tutorial on how to do an FBA on a Princess Seamed Bodice. I've used it several times and it helps trememdously!

Gravatar LOVE it!

Gravatar I bought this very same pattern just a few weeks ago, but have yet to find just the right fabric! Thanks for inspiring me to get on it.

Gravatar I love your blog I love your blog I love your blog. I have been wanting to sew for YEARS the class at my old church never got off the ground, and everytime I would pass a sewing machine in Wal-Mart it would just be calling my name! I found your blog and this is my first day here and I can tell you this...my list of five things I wanted to learn and do this summer has gone up to six, I am going to learn how to sew! Thanks for the inspiration and I will be back.

Gravatar Thanks a lot Neecha!
