I think "Rise of the Silver Surfer" was the Father's Day Classic -- we took the FOTH (father of the house) to that as well(a well-earned reward for spending the past couple of days ripping an old roof off our barn and putting on a new bright green metal roof on..in the sun..and the heat..and the bugs...). I made a requested "from scratch" pizza (I will not go into the details of making, raising and baking said pizza on a day when the temperatures reached into the "very uncomfortable" zone..). Spent the rest of the time helping to pick up nails, old roofing, etc. off the ground next to said barn (ahem..I think I did suggest before he started that laying out large sheets of plastic might be a good idea), and finishing off the neck on a new short sleeved sweater top made with Elann's stretchy cotton sock yarn. A productive weekend was had by all.

You have a beautiful family and it seem like dad enjoyed himself too. I love WholeFoods, everything seems so fresh. If i don't make it to the farmers market it is my next choice.
My family took dad to BSmith at Union Station in DC, the brunch, Jazz was really nice and relaxing. Love your site!!!

my weekend went way too fast. Friday nigt, I baby sat for friends. They have a nine month old and have not really been getting out since he was born. He was great. We had a great time taking care of him. Saturday, I spent with the morning with my knitting guild. That was good. Saturday afternoon went a birthday party for a friend's daughter. Hubby and I then went out to a cheap healthy meal and then to borders. we had coffee and I poured over knitting and crochet books and magazines. I ended up buying the interweave knits crochet magazine.
I am so inspired by your sewing projects that I pulled out a project that I began last year and I went to Joann's and bought an easy pattern for a sundress and the material/notions. I will get started next weekend if I can finish my 1 year old project.

Looks like your hubby had a great time!Well I cooked my DH his favorite meal and we let him sleep and relax.
I did a lot of sewing (thread tracing mostly and also some interfacing tests), I read a book (Eragon, lol), I had luch with my parents in law on Sunday... Oh, and I went for a long walk by the beach!
I love Whole Paycheck...I mean Whole Foods too! LOL
We took Dad out to lunch and then we left him alone to watch the US Open on the couch. It was great.
