looks beautiful. have you tried texture weft (i get it from nancy erickson, i think she calls it something else. nancy's fusible underlining maybe?). it gives the fabric just enough body, while still allowing drape.

It's a cute pattern. Your pinked seam allowances remind me to get new shears, since my pinked one is a goner and I therefore forget to use it. Great idea and looks good so far. Looking forward to see the finished one.

Erica, you have made much more progress than I have. I have got mine cut out but have yet to begin to sew it. Like your idea of cutting the darts open and pressing flat. I may need to try that also.

I LOVED making this jacket (especially the waist band) and have gotten a lot of use out of it. It's one of those pieces that I always get a compliment on when I wear it. Can't wait to see yours!
