Its better than most of the previous issues but I still think this whole magazine is just a regurgitated version of Threads. Next issue is the last one. Snap it up since it will sure to end up a collectors item.

Even though there were a lot of articles that were previously published in Threads, this magazine was from a younger perspective. I'm really disappointed that it didn't take off because I felt that it really encouraged younger sewing enthusiast moreso than perhaps their mother's issues of Threads. Oh well, another one bites the dust.
I like the republished issues on SewStylish b/c they compiled the articles into one mag pertinent with the times. Last issue was practically all about sewing special occasion dresses. With all the related articles in one mag, it would be an easy reference.
I am thrilled with the current issue! It's too bad that SewStylish will no longer be published. I wonder if this is the last issue we will see from them.

I think there is one more coming out - the Winter issue. I hope it's just as fantastic as this one since it will be the last one.

I bought this mag on Wednesday. I haven't desired to whip out my sewing machine for a couple of years, but after seeing all the gorgeous stuff you and some others are creating I started reconsidering. I was in JoAnn's getting some yarn and I couldn't pass up the mag because of the great cover. I have never bought a sewing mag before! The grey pinstripe suit on the cover is a must sew for me.

I picked up this issue last week and I love the skirt with the poofy pockets...love that one. I am just learning how to sew so I am enthusiastic about it all! I just love to see what you are working on next. You are a very talented seamstress.
I checked out this issue at JoAnn's today on your recommendation. I knew after looking for 5 seconds that I had to have it! I do not think I will use the pattern highlighted but I LOVED all the information. I had to stop reading it at stoplights on the way home because I almost got in an accident. lol Thank you for your recommendation. I will be pouring through this issue for a long time.

I have this issue...bought it last week. I'm a novice but thoroughly enjoyed reading about how to alter patterns like that. Like you, I keep reading it for new ideas.

I couldn't find the pattern and couldn't find this pattern over the weekend. I'm on the hunt again. I've noticed that when you mention patterns or mags on your blog, I have a hard time finding them. I'm just saying....
I definitely agree! I got this in the mail earlier in the month and read it from cover to cover.
I really like this magazine, and I'm sorry it's going to be discontinued. However, this issue was my least favorite so far. I really don't care for the alterations they made with the featured pattern. But I love the original jacket and plan to make it for the fall.
I bought the first ever issue of this magazine and was soooo disappointed, thought it would make a great magazine for my DD so she would leave my Threads alone!
However, it is a mystery to me that SEW NEWS has stayed afloat while this one died.
