This documentary was aired in France a couple of years ago. It was fantastic. I think it was 5 45-minute episodes. My parents taped it for me.

Thanks so much for the link - - I loved it! All hand done - no wonder it starts to cost so much...
I wonder how they got so so good - that would be my ultimate dream - to do my own stylised sketch and create it from absolute scratch!
Thanks for a great post and link - I love reading your blog and your creations inspire me. I would love a section on your blog on how you got started learning to sew.
Thanks!

Finally, glad to know US viewers are finally able to see this documentary. I viewed it about 2yrs ago in Europe. I found it facinating but Lagerfeld didn't gain on respect in my book. He is an arrogant idiot!
His 20+years employee is retiring and he wasn't even aware, well what am I saying!!!He didn't even know her blyyyyy name!!
If it isn't about HIM, then NOT!
Oh well.

Thanks for the movie reviews. I am Legend seemed like my type of movie, but I have been hearing some luke warm reviews. I might wait for that to come out on DVD.

My weekend was a non productive one! I had several things to do but little of them sewing related. Like you, I haven't finished shopping for Christmas yet... And the Signé Chanel is an AWESOME film, I loved every little bit of it! I have it recorded on DVD!

Now, I'm going to watch the documentary. I had JUST read another review of it elsewhere that all but convinced me I wasn't missing much by skipping it. How do you make everything so interesting?

I Am Legend is on my list as I love Will Smith. I think I read the book years ago, but don't remember much. It looks quite good. We saw The Golden Compas last week, DH has read all 3 books and enjoyed them, a young friend recommended them to him) and it was quite good. I love the lead character, a spunky 12 year old (I think she is 12) who is as brave as can be, and a bit stubborn too. And the CGI effects are beautiful.
