Gravatar Wow! You actually make adjusting a pattern seem... doable. It always seemed so mysterious to me. I'm not saying I'm ready to try it yet, but at least I'm not afraid!

Gravatar Erica, this is great info and you explained it so well. It doesn't seem daunting to try. Thanks!

Gravatar Erica - Reading you makes filling out my Christmas "wish" list so much easier: 1) dress form 2) layout board with the inches on it. There are too many times when I've wanted to sew something but because of fitting issues, I've just closed the closet. Definitely - this year, I'm getting a dressform and padding it to MY exact measurements.

Gravatar Wonderful tutorial, Erica. Thank you!

Gravatar I am lookong forward to your tutorial, as I have a chanel-like fabric here which is waiting to become a jacket for my mother....

Greetings from Germany,
Steffi

Gravatar Very nicely explained and illustrated! You are terrific.

I'm hoping Santa brings me a dressform. Sigh.

Gravatar Great tutorial, Erica! I am shopping for a dress form. May I ask what kind you have and whether or not you are satisfied with it?

Gravatar Thanks for posting the tutorial! I understand - this is a similar concept to the "slash and spread" adjustment for lengthening a garment. So, I assume if you needed to make it smaller, you would fold it inward like you would to shorten something?

Gravatar Robin,
I've never had to do a SBA (small bust adjustment) on a princess seam. I only do SBAs when sewing for Amber. But that would make sense.

Linda,
I have a Prym-Dritz Twin Fit... and yes, I'm quite pleased with it.

Gravatar Great tutorial, Erica! I'm so excited about this project!

Gravatar Would thank for the crazy illustrated explanation.
Susan

Gravatar Great work. What pattern are you using--I must have missed it. TIA, Sally

Gravatar Sally,
I'm using Vogue 7975.

Gravatar Great tutorial - as I am so new to sewing garments... how in the world did you keep the tissue paper from ripping....?
