Very good tips, I'll have to try that next time as I really HATE sewing slippery & sheer fabrics.

As a beginner I really appreciate the time you dedicate to explaining your methods, sharing your tips and supplying excellent photos that illustrate your text. I’ve learnt more from your blog than I ever did from my introductory sewing class. And your beautiful work spurs me. Thank-you so much!

Erica, one 'cute' tutorial, good pictures and explanations/instructions. Your tutorial is very well done and I am sure it will be useful for many who are 'afraid' of sheers.
Can't wait to see what you made.

Thanks for the tip. I made a skirt using organza and it was a trying time cutting it.

Excellent. Project #4 on my list is sheer fabric dress. I will be making a muslin in the cheap poly first. But, I appreciate your tips. Vonnevo also suggested I try using the quilt basting spray too.

Thank you that was very helpful.I am one of those people that shy away from the very light sheer fabric.
Have a great weekend!

Thanks so much for posting this. I've got an upcoming project that I will try this out on. I've avoided sheers for the very reasons you mentioned.

Hi Erica!
i love the way you execute your projects. it's great to see how the clothing modeled by stick figures actually looks on a woman. i always have trouble envisioning what a pattern design might look like on me because the chicks in the illustrations are so shape-lacking.
thank you for the tutorial on sheers. i was wondering-- could you post a tutorial on sewing with lace fabric? i am inspired by your black lace blouse and want to make one for myself. i have Butterick 4738 just waiting to be cut.
thanks so much! you are fantastic!

Man, I just want to wrap you up and take you home with me! Love the blouse you're working on - seeing your beautiful construction is such a treat. I'm going to print out this tutorial and keep it next to my sewing machine!

Hi Erica!
Thanks for the visual and very detailed explanation. I cried the last time I worked w/ a sheer and hopefully will get up the nerve to work with it again. Love your blouse!!!
