Erica, I can truly relate to your feeling "maternity-ish" in flowing tops. I have that same feeling when I put on the tops that seem to be in style now. I usually end up not feeling quite right in them, especially since I have 4 babies, and never enjoyed being pregnant. I, however, feel that this top would look just fine on you worn without the belt. I think it fits into the styles that are current, and your "look" could pull it off without it being, even close, to looking "maternity-ish" :0)
I didn't like the picture on the pattern package, but now that I see a "real" one made, I love it. The colors and embellishments you chose are outstanding. ANd the color and style look gorgeous on you. I like it belted.

Erica, You tamed this pattern into a perfect fit for you. I tried this pattern and left it in the muslin stage. I just posted on my blog about it and referenced back to here for people to see one that fits beautifully. I still don't know if I will try and make this again. Your version certainly makes me want to try again.
