Have you seen the new Burda magazine that has the patterns already individually drafted, no tracing? Just cut and pin like "normal" patterns? I picked up the latest and it has some great patterns in there, waiting for me to try them. I was so happy to see these cut and sew ones. Tracing is okay, but I'd just rather not have to buy tracing paper and do all that.
Anyway, the dress looks fabulous, as always--great color and the neckline details are great too.

I have a question for you about the zipper. I like your exposed zipper, but how did you set it? Did you topstitch around it? Its hard to tell in the photo.

I'm glad you like the Burda patterns. I'm addicted to them and love the fact that seam allowances are NOT included!
Since you like their patterns, you must be happy to know there are quite a lot of them free now on BurdaStyle Burda style site. They are available for printing at home and at the print shops, and come with some instructions.
