From my point of view..the reason of war is nothing more than Economics. They purposely create war to to get their aim...Oil. That's why all war accidentally..most of them happen in middle east. Because America need the oil.. so they detract the oil production and focus...with war.. In the short way.. America is the biggest gun seller right?
Its kind a..buy oil with gun, but for what gun if no war? so they create a war..to make the gun..useful..
R u get the point?
Me neither..

I believe the war can bring American wealth for the country and people. Not much different from English in British colonial period [war to get colony - wealth and resources]. But the wealth is exchanged with people's life. Is it worth it? American also make a lot of money by international trade, inventions and technology. Can American make money on these but not war?

Somewhere along the line, "We the people" has been surreptitiously transformed into "We the Corporate entity".......Does anyone else see something wrong here?

I believe most of my fellow Americans agree that we spend a colossal amount on the military. Let me ask you this:
Besides making people aware of the problem, what else can be done? Is there anything that individual Americans can do? A new president will not change things regardless of what people think.
Like most people, I have to work to survive here. Besides voting, the only way I see a solution is to overthrow the government or another country blows us off the map. Is that what you think will happen? That will just get everyone killed.
Nearly everyone I personally know, agrees the government is corrupted, but is it beyond repair?

Bob - answering your question with a question. Both parties have had 250 years to establish their power base. The longest period of consistent two party rule on earth. Look at both parties today. Look at the platforms. Look at the infrastructure. Look at the social agenda. Look at the looming debt, and look at the standing of the currency. Look at all the Wall Street scandals. Look at the economic model that has been established for the last 30 years, and how it is ready to implode. I think you answered your own question!
