I love this question. Thanks for the invite. Well, I am a writer since 1973. I use to have a special column in the mainstream mass media in my country. Usually, the owners allow much freedom of expression, until they are being dictated by the potentate. In addition, one statement presented nearing the truth belonging to the God, shatters the appearance of the unbelievers, some start poking from the back door to deny champion of the truth. Thus, blogging allow much more freedom, to express. Liken to having my own newspaper tabloid or a broadcast station. I started blogging in December 2006. Why? First, to obtain vital and valuable information from other bloggers who are experts. Second, to share vital and valuable information with other bloggers on my expertise. Third, be in a position to assist new bloggers with some basics in e-Community building. Share. One word to describe the 3 parts of why I blog. Rating and Ranking is all but fun to me. I do not compete with any other blogger. I just compete with myself. At what point I score during registration, and how high I am positioned in a year. Funtastic!

I blog for all of these reasons in some way or another. One thing about page rank and stats, page rank is really unreliable. Technorati is temporary, a link counts for 180 days. If you don't keep it up, your technorati will fall back to 0. I don't check stats anymore.
I choose to be a person who never judges someone based on their race or their religion...I don't have room for hatred in my heart. I have much more to say about this...I think I'll write a post about it!
EY, thanks for the mention of Bonez on your fine blog and post. I blog therefore I am therefore I blog. That's pretty much it for me. Whatever strikes my fancy at the moment ends up as blogging fodder. Some people think I am too scattershot in my approach but who the frak cares when it really comes right down to it? I mean, hell, we are all going to be blown away by some damn terrorists suitcase nuke or by a killer asteroid or Planet X or the end of the frakkin' world according to the Mayans in 2012. So, I'd rather be blogging than rioting in the streets but I am getting a leaning toward silly cat pictures in hopes of raising my Technorati rankings.
