EuroYank

Gravatar As usual an excellent job of reporting.

I can say though that some of these issues are being explored, exposed, and brought to light in our news over here. And, it's about time.

I find nothing here that I myself personally don't agree with.

I for one am disabled. yet due to some very slick under the table maneuvers by the Social Security office I will never ever in my lifetime be able to collect my disability.

They just happened to mis inform me of a ninety day period that I had to file yet more documentation. They even admitted that the error was on their part. But, none the less, I never ever have the chance in my lifetime to receive my disability.

I started working when I was 14. And, I have paid in enough SS taxes to qualify for the maximum amount of pay when I retire. So the money is mine, the error was theirs, and I am screwed!!

My husband is stuck having to work away from home for weeks at a time to ensure that I have medical coverage. He cannot change jobs because we couldn't afford my medical bills and I am uninsurable by any other companies due to my illness.

You have stated the truth here as far as I can see.

I have wondered for years now how the American government could be so bold to condenm other countries concerning human rights. When it literally neglects thousands of Americans in desperate need.

Also, any moron knows the death penalty is just plain wrong.

Good job Euro,
~Jackie

Gravatar First let me say that it is unacceptable for the US to authorize or be complicit in any kind of torture.
This is an interesting post with alot of merit however, I disagree that Health Care is a 'human right' I think that access to health care is more of an issue than whether or not it is a human right.
I am not against the death although I think that it needs to be used only in well defined circumstances give that some have been executed who are innocent. One innocent person being executed is too much!
The videos are very good at clarifying the issue very well.

Gravatar Carol on the death penalty you missed the point ... There have been about half a million (500,000) murders in the USA since 1977. In the same period, 716 men and women have been executed, and many of these were mentally retarded that could not afford a proper defense. But that is your opinion. All I can do is highlight the statistics and give the references and details.

Gravatar Excellent! Great post and speaks what needs to be spoken! Americans are on Prozac and need a rude awakening, and we are their worst nightmare. Get our Troops organized, look the American people in the eyes and see if anyone is home or are they so Zombied out that they need electric shock therapy to be brought to reality! Americans are under a spell, they Think they are happy because they are brainwashed to think so!

Gravatar You're right I did miss the point. Everyone is entitled to a competent defense and to put people to death who are either incompetent or not adequately represented is a travest y of justice, This is the USA however and not much interest in justice here.

Gravatar This is an eye opening post. You've got good information here. Jojo

Gravatar You did a good job. It's much easier now to find your latest focal story. Also I never even knew you were on Fuel My Blog. I shall try to fuel you everyday.

I hope it's okay to post this opinion here.

Gravatar Euro,
I came and I watched as much as my DSL will allow at this time.

I am afraid that I do not have an intellectual comment at all.

I only have tears!!

Tears for my country, my son-in-law who is stuck over there, even though all of us as a a family do not support this war.....simply tears today my friend!!

Gravatar Well and thorough researched post on Human Rights here by Euro Yank. Well done. After reading this, it is evidently clear a country that is concerned about the implementation of huwman rights elsewhere, over the globe, is one that somehow violates this in ways beyond huwmanity. Yes, double standard, writes Euro Yank, and I agree, and inconsistency too, I prefer to add. Leaders elected to office, seems to be lost in their focus after winning the election. What are being promised during election campaigns, after being elected, these leaders seem to be given a list of agenda, quite different from their initial intent and purpose. Who then gives this agenda, another area, I prefer someone familiar with this kind of work, shall spend precious moments researching on it. What Euro Yank has exposed here, bravely I should say, shall be eyes opening for the international community. Next, I wonder what can each citizen do, in the light of these vital and valuable information shared by Euro Yank, especially in protecting and securing each of our rights as a huwman on earth. Please note, for the term human - man, I have added w, as a clear indication for woman, who shall have special and equal rights too. So, Euro Yank, more please...

Gravatar I told you yesterday that I had tears. Well I have written for the first time in a long while.

In part you were my muse. I know it is very little indeed to offer...but, I had to cry out.
