Leslie was a great poet and a good man. I met him last year at a reading in Louisiana and have since thought his work very important and moving. It's a sad day now that he's passed.

Wow. This is so sad. I studied with Leslie Norris 2 quarters at UW in the late 1970's. He was a great teacher.
