What a beautiful post! I enjoyed it all, although I think the puppies were my very faves ... golden retriever?? is my guess, as they look just like my pup did 8 years ago ... now, he's the size of a small pony and weighs 100 lbs! Although, he's still convinced he's a 'lap dog' 
Those pictures make me miss the beaches on Long Island. There are only rocky ones here in Rhode Island where we live now.
You are going to love spinning batts. You can really get creative with your spinning and mix colors as you like.
