I've seen references to them on the news, but fortunately haven't encountered them myself yet.
Fallenmonk, you are welcome to cook any of them I run across: although I ate chocolate-covered ants once in my childhood, they're outside my diet at the moment. I don't eat anything that walks, swims or... crawls.
(Maybe there's a colony in Houston's Montrose... I've read that their colonies have multiple queens. <grin_duck_run /> )
