We need to do our part too, and get our money out of the big banks and financial firms. That will speak louder than legislation. Mine's all in credit unions. Retirement stuff is mostly with Fidelity, which tends to be moderate in its compensations to its executives...
Perhaps a good start would be the sacking of all those Goldman Sachs' top executives currently employed in various key posts in the administration - as Glenn Beck keeps pointing out!
The insane Beck aside David. I have no argument with that.
I have a chunk in Fidelity as well but the bulk in my roll over IRA is with another. I have been seriously considering moving everything else to a credit union as well.
Oh, my... for once I agree with you, David. Beck is full-blown batshit crazy, but Obama should never have tapped those Goldman executives for his cabinet and other advisory positions... for a bright guy, Obama did a really stupid thing in appointing them.
My retirement money was invested through Morgan Stanley Smith Barney (do you see a purple dinosaur when I write that?) and is worth about half what it was before the collapse. It's clear to me whose fault this is, and it ain't Obama's. If only he would respond more forcefully to the disaster Bush left on his doorstep...
Do you know, Steve, I can't help thinking, it's funny how a "full batshit crazy" like Beck keeps getting it right! He was definitely right about Van Jones, he was right about Goldman Sachs (the Haliburton of the Obama regime?), he was right about the Mao-adoring Anita Dunn, he was right about Valerie Jarret (Obama's close family friend and now personal assistant) being CEO of a slum landlord company in Chicago ... well, I could go on but you get the picture.
