You know, I *could* have loved the Outlander series if the author had been able to control her verbal diarrhea. And if she wasn't obsessed with sado-masichisim. :P
I remember thinking The Stand was a great translation from book to movie, but when I rewatched the miniseries on SciFi recently I was like, "I used to think this was good?" It was far more melodramatic than I remembered.
