Gravatar I think it's completely adorable either way! I like the little poof at the waist when the ribbon is in, but it's very chic without as well. Very nice work!

Gravatar The cardi looks beautiful, I like the ribbon too, it's sweet.
Have a great holiday.

Gravatar Oh come on... knit a flop for me please?

Seriously though, it is just perfect. My first thought as the pictures came up was what a nice touch the ribbon was! Really. It looks cute without as well, but the ribbon is a lovely addition.

Gravatar I really like it with the ribbon - I don't think there is a poof factor at all. Beautiful as always!

As far as Maine goes - if you are up for a day trip while you are there, head down to Bath, which is where Halcyon Yarns is. TOTALLY worth seeing.

Gravatar Another lovely sweater! I think it looks equally terrific with and without the ribbon... go for your mood of the day. I like that you paired it with a feminine, floral top underneath; I tend to stick to solids and I think a little more detail is lacking in my closet!

Gravatar I saw this on Ravelry this morning and couldn't wait until you posted about it!! I love it!! I think it looks great both ways, but the ribbon is really cute.

I didn't think there was a poof factor, it just looks great!

Have a wonderful vacation! I can't wait to hear all about it!

Gravatar I spent a week in Bar Harbor and hiked in the Acadia. Drank blueberry beer, ate blueberry pancakes, and consumed a lobster every night. There is the cutest knit shop (hopefully still open) where I bought and learned to knit my first real sweater. Unfortunately it was with Lopi yarn and even in the Indiana winter it was tooooooo hot to wear. There are lots of cute shops and rasberry iced tea. Have a wonderful and relaxing time. Oh, there are lots of "cool as a moose" clothes, etc. that are fun.

Your lace leaf cardi is fabulous. I really like it with the ribbon but see what you mean about the slimming effect when it's pulled down. I think it might depend on what pants/skirt you wear it with and where you are going.

Gravatar You are going to have so much fun hiking in Acadia. I was there at almost the same time of the year (slightly later) and it was perfect, the temperature was just right for hiking.
Slightly more down south is quite the yarn crawl. Halcyon Bath as somebody suggested and then Brunswick (which is where I live with three different yarn stores and then of course Portland.
Oh, and I really like the ribbon. I could not see any poofing. But it`s a beautiful summer cardigan with or without the ribbon.

Gravatar I'm with Tammy. Do you ever knit a bad sweater? I have about given up on sweater knitting since I seem to make them for my closet to wear.

Fabulous color on you btw!

Gravatar It turned out so pretty! The ribbon looks very nice and I think the slight poof is flattering. It's great that you have the option to wear it both ways.

Have a great vacation! I would love to visit Maine on of these days.

Gravatar I think it looks less poofy without the ribbon which is nice, but I noticed in those pictures, you've got it buttoned all the way down. The ribbon is cute though, I like it. I think it works either way, really. The poof is probably something that only you will notice, honestly.

Gravatar It looks great both ways! The ribbon does add something extra, I must say, but I don't see much of a poof without.

Gravatar It looks great either way. Maybe you can add or take away the ribbon just depending on the look you are going for. So lovely.

Gravatar I think it looks great either way. You have really been cranking out the FO's lately. The color looks great on you.

Gravatar Ooh what a beautiful sweater. I love the color too, very pretty.

Gravatar Both are cute, but my preference is with the ribbon. Very stylish.

Have fun in Maine!

Gravatar This looks beautiful on you!

Gravatar Super cute! It looks great both ways, but I think I like it with the ribbon best. It adds a little flair. Nice job!

Gravatar I think with the ribbon too. It's very pretty.

Have a fab holiday.

Gravatar Very pretty! I think I like it without the ribbon...but that's just generally my taste. Regardless, it's beautiful!

Gravatar How pretty! Both with and without the ribbon. Have a lovely vacation!

Gravatar Again, another fabulous knit!!! I like it with or without the ribbon.

Gravatar I also like it both ways, but I like it with the ribbon best. It makes it unique -- one of a kind. The color is awesome!

Gravatar I saw it on Ravelry the other day...it's just lovely, Amanda! You are my sweater hero!

Gravatar It turned out well. I think I prefer it with the ribbon....it adds just enough to pull the look together.

Gravatar This prompted an "oooh, pretty!" when the photos came up on my browser! I like it with the ribbon - but then, I'm pretty girly. Lovely job.

Gravatar Beautiful! I like it both with the ribbon and without.

Gravatar Gorgeous! I love it both ways but I think I like the look with the ribbon the best. This is really an incredible sweater.

Gravatar This cardigan is just beautiful. I love it with the ribbon, personally.

Gravatar What the?--again?! I still can't get over all the beautiful FO's around here!! You must have gnomes knitting sweaters all day and all night, yes? Please tell the gnomes they have fabulous taste and that I am very impressed with their pattern-generating skills.

Gravatar Oh, I love it, both ways. Without the ribbon is leaner and perhaps a bit sportier; with the ribbon is more feminine and I'm thinking a long flowy skirt would set this look up to dazzle.

Enjoy vacay!

Gravatar So cute! I think it looks great with the ribbon or without. You really don't notice the "poof" at all!

Gravatar Love the cardi. I think it looks great with or without the ribbon. It looks dressier with the ribbon and more casual without.

Have a great time in Bar Harbor!
