I never did figure out the knitting while nursing, but reading and nursing go together great!

Congratulations on your lovely little E! As for knitting and nursing, I eventually figured it out: I used a nursing pillow AND a couple of pillows under my elbows to prop everything up, and it worked nicely. She was able to nap on my lap a lot while I knit, too. Have fun!

Congratulations and well done for all your hard work! 8.5 hours is great - my midwife used to say, in prenatal classes, "I wish all of you an 8 hour labour." Not too long and not too short!
