I call out folks on their homo bullshit all the time. It's easy for me since I'm old and married. I've always been attractive to both sexes (God's gift) although I'm not attracted to men, I don't reject their interests, only their intentions. I'm extremely queer but not in a homo way.
BTW, my Youtube video is rapidly becoming the sensation. Over 500 views in less than a day! 52 seconds of pure bliss just for the Steely Dan content! Thanks for helping me get the thing passed about!!

I say that as a compliment. Gay men are much more meticulous and good-looking than straight men.
In all seriousness, though, in my college experience, I encountered THE most homophobia from within my own sports teams.
This included teammates and coaches who were either in the closet and scared of being "found out," so they encouraged homophobia against those of us who were relatively openly gay... or from teammates who were straight, but scared of being thought of as gay by everyone else.
It was worse, in my opinion, than the general public's view and treatment of lesbians.
