MJD, I saw somewhere the claim that if they try that the CT legislature (two seats away from veto-proof Dem majorities going in) will pass a law mandating a special election for Senate vacancies, and the Republicans will get waxed. The Allen/Webb race, with 86.66% precincts reporting (1931131 votes counted), has a 1333 vote gap between the two candidates. Mother of God.
And I think the MO-Sen race is going to be even closer.

Webb's cut the lead down to less than 12000, but with so few uncounted votes, he still needs 55.3% of the remaining ballots to win.
