Josette- I adore that blue and green- it would make a stunning shawl.
I decided to pass on any of those sock books that get technical about knitting- I think beauty is in the simplicity.

yup, enough rain here to make a hippo happy. The problem is that I'm not a hippo. The Octopus yarn is lovely. The blue is entrancing. I guess that's the point, right? Entrance me so that it can bite me?
And who said there was such a thing as too many wip's? Not possible.

Hmm, I can feel myself getting a bit too interested in this subject. I can remember my mum knitting socks for my dad. They were mostly long and grey, but introduce some striking colours and they take on a whole new dimension don't they! I'll stay tuned to hear how you get on at the sockfest!
