Drats! Another blogger leaving. *sigh* Best of luck with everything. I'm very glad I got to meet you at milblog.
Blogging is always a balancing act, when it gets too difficult to balance, it's time to step back... although we'll miss you!

That's too bad, I enjoyed checking in here every couple of days...
Anyway, stay safe! And thanks for your service.

You blogged for the same reason I do, and your protection of family and friends from the larger blog world is pretty much a goal of mine as well, one of the reasons I blog anonymously (well, on this blog. There's another where I blog as me but it's about that other, more important side of my life... family and friends and what I did last sunday).
I have found my political blog goes in waves. It slows down when life gets busy, it picks up when life gets less busy or I just really gotta say something.
Mostly it's my voice in the wilderness, and me trying to work it all out so that when a situation comes up in public that I feel needs my comment, I'll have already thought about it and I might have something intelligent enough to say that I feel confident saying it.
I'm not trying to be entertaining, and I don't think I'm going to change the world (though hopefully I'll contribute something to the conversation).
So... kind of sad to see you go, but ... maybe you'll pick up later at a slower pace. I've enjoyed reading you the short time I've "known" you.
When you're wondering what's important in life and where to put your priorities, I always say it's all about the people.

Dear Rob:
I'll miss your posts. I'll keep your e-mail address active, so stay in touch.
And another one of my reads goes away. Sigh.

That's a bummer, but I understand. I've been underperforming on the blog for months, and not sure what I'm going to do next with it. Take care of your family, and be glad that you have solid priorities. We'll see you around the blogs, I'm sure

You will be missed, but I think we all understand...
The best blogs have gone away this year - and, as you join them, know that you will be missed.
Best wishes in your wonderful world of family, friends and work!

While I'm so sorry to see you go, I completely understand how life gets in the way sometimes, and then those hard choices have to be made. Sounds like you made the right one.
You will be dearly missed, thought of and prayed for. (Those Nuns were good for something!)
Be Safe,
Angel

I tend to step back every once and a while, most of my posts lately are when I feel like it. We'll miss you out here man, it was great meeting you at the milblog conference. Peace brother.
