Gravatar You may not see them in hell, but you might see them on Mt. Purgatory.

According to Dante Alighieri,

We all got to climb that lonesome mountain,
You got to climb it by yourself;
Nobody else can climb it for you,
You got to climb it by yourself.

From the picture at Wikipedia it looks like a pretty easy, if somewhat long climb, though. No rock climbing or anything like that.

Interesting, that in purgatory, the lustful are closest to heaven.

Gravatar I realize (& am ashamed, but that's neither here nor there) that having read (or even having a passing familiarity with) the Constitution is not a requirement to be elected to any kind of office, but the First Amendment is both short and pretty famous. That, Mr. Barton, is the basis for our tolerance as US Americans of the beliefs of people who have (e.g. but not exclusively) different pet names for God and so on.

Interestingly, the reason for that Amendment reading as it does is not that the Founding Dudes were specially solicitous of the rights of Jews, Mahometans, and Hindoos to worship as they pleased. Rather, it was designed to keep the various Christian sects then in existence from using the government to screw each other over. Just a friendly FYI!

Jackass.
