feddie, i think you are giving mother jones more attention than the general left does! it doesn't deserve such high-minded scrutiny.
Eh, I read Mother Jones from time to time. They do some good muckraking. (I'll take them over the New Republic, to be honest.)
That said, Feddie is right on, and he is doing his usual yeoman work on this subject. Bravo.
Steve, saw your link to this piece on NRO Corner today. Great work. Judge Pryor and others like him are lucky to have folks like you willing to take the time to correct the lies disseminated about them, being, as they are, silenced by the canons of judicial ethics. Keep it up.
I almost linked to this article myself this morning before I noticed that it was from the November/December 2003(!) issue of Mother Jones. That fact doesn't make the article any more correct or incorrect now than it was when originally published, but the article certainly doesn't qualify as newsworthy in the traditional sense. As for why it appeared today on Google News as though it was a brand new article, the answer can be found on the home page of the Mother Jones web site.
Ah, I didn't see that.
I suppose the piece is "newsworthy" in that Mother Jones continues to hold this trash up as legitimate criticism of Pryor's fitness to be a judge.
In any event, thanks for catching that.
